What we mean by customer contact details

By customer contact details we mean details such as phone number, email address or address, when they are needed to arrange the job.

How customer contact details may work later

STEP 1

You send an offer.

STEP 2

The customer accepts your offer.

STEP 3

Contact details stay protected first.

STEP 4

You see the price before deciding.

STEP 5

Only then you can unlock customer contact details and show the customer's phone, email or address.

Planned contact fee (simple explanation first)

The planned rule is simple: the contact fee is 5% of the agreed job amount, with a minimum of €5 and a maximum of €49.

Calculation rule

max(€5, min(5% × agreed amount, €49))

Minimum: €5
Percentage: 5%
Maximum cap: €49
Agreed amountPlanned contact fee
€200€10
€500€25
€2.000€49

For example: if the agreed job amount is €500, the planned contact fee would be €25. If the job amount is much higher, the fee stops at €49.

This is the current planned model. Final pricing may still change before paid contact details go live, based on provider feedback, market conditions, competition, and platform operating costs.

Why this is fair for providers

You do not pay just to look at jobs.

You can first decide whether a job is relevant before any future fee appears.

No mandatory monthly plan at launch.

The planned model is not a forced subscription at the start of payments.

You see the price before you decide.

No surprise charges after clicking.

The €49 cap helps protect larger jobs.

For bigger jobs, the planned fee stops at €49 instead of growing endlessly.

What is not guaranteed?

  • An accepted offer does not automatically guarantee the job.
  • Unlocking customer contact details allows direct contact with the customer.
  • Final confirmation happens after scope, timing, and price are agreed.

Transparency promise

Costs are always shown upfront.
No hidden charges.
No surprise fees.
You decide which contacts you want to unlock.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions.

Is registration free?

Yes. Registration is free during the test phase.

Do I need to pay a monthly subscription?

No. There is no mandatory monthly subscription at this stage.

Do I pay anything today?

No. In the current test phase, paid customer contact details are not active yet.

When will fees be introduced?

Fees may be introduced after the production payment system is ready. The unlock price will always be shown before you confirm.

How would the planned pricing work?

The planned rule is: 5% of the agreed amount, with a minimum of €5 and a maximum of €49. Calculation rule: max(€5, min(5% × agreed amount, €49)).

Does contact unlock mean I have won the job?

No. Contact unlock only allows direct contact. The job is confirmed only after you and the customer agree on the final scope, timing, and price.

Why is the maximum fee capped at €49?

SkilledContractors wants to keep provider costs fair and competitive. The cap helps prevent high lead costs on larger jobs.

Can I browse jobs without obligation?

Yes. You can create a profile and browse available jobs without a mandatory subscription.

Is the planned pricing final?

No. This is the current planned model. Final pricing may still change before paid customer contact details go live, based on provider feedback, market conditions, competition, and platform operating costs.

Does unlocking customer contact details guarantee the job?

No. An accepted offer and unlocked contact details do not guarantee the job. Final confirmation happens only after both sides agree the scope, timing, and final price.

Why will customer contact details not always be free?

The platform has costs: support, hosting, safety, moderation, marketing, development and bringing new customers to the marketplace. That is why a paid contact-details model may be introduced later. The goal is to keep it fair: providers should only pay when there is real interest from a customer and the price is shown first.
