This page explains complaint handling and escalation options.

How to complain

Please submit complaints through the support contact form and select a complaint topic where available. Include job ID, offer ID, provider/customer name, and a clear description of the issue so we can investigate efficiently.

Acknowledgement

We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days. Complex cases may require more time for review and follow-up.

What we can do

We may review job records, messages, offers, and reviews, and request additional information from involved users. We may moderate content, restrict features, or suspend accounts if policies or safety rules are breached. We can also help facilitate communication between parties.

What we cannot do

SkilledContractors is not a party to the service contract between customer and provider. We do not arbitrate final disputes about work quality, contractual scope, or final pricing between users. We do not guarantee compensation outcomes in private contractual disputes.

Privacy complaints

Privacy-related complaints can be submitted through support for investigation. Users may also submit a complaint to Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens if they believe data-protection rights were infringed.

Consumer escalation

External dispute channels, including EU ODR tools, may be available depending on case type and jurisdiction. Availability and participation can vary, and we do not promise participation in any specific scheme unless officially confirmed.

Fraud and safety

Potential fraud, abuse, threats, or safety concerns should be reported quickly via support. In urgent situations, users should also contact local authorities.

Records

We may keep complaint records for support quality, safety investigations, legal compliance, and audit trails. Retention periods depend on legal requirements and risk considerations.
