These terms explain platform rules and user responsibilities.
Introduction
By using SkilledContractors, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform. These terms apply to customers and providers who access marketplace features.
Platform role
SkilledContractors provides an online platform that helps customers and independent providers connect. SkilledContractors does not perform the work and is not the contractor or employer. SkilledContractors is not a party to the service agreement between customer and provider. Customers and providers agree scope, price, timing, materials, guarantees, and execution directly between themselves.
Eligibility
Users must be at least 18 years old. Providers must be legally allowed to provide the services they offer and must provide accurate business information. KVK information may be required or verified for trust and safety checks.
Customer obligations
Customers must provide accurate job information and communicate respectfully. Illegal, abusive, misleading, or fraudulent job postings are prohibited. Customers agree final scope and price directly with providers and pay providers as agreed, outside the platform unless future payment rules say otherwise.
Provider obligations
Providers must keep profile and business information truthful and up to date. Providers may only offer services they can legally and safely perform and must comply with applicable laws and safety rules. Providers must respect customer privacy, avoid contact abuse, and communicate honestly about price, scope, availability, materials, and warranty.
Contact and messaging
Messaging and contact visibility may depend on offer or assignment rules. Before contact unlock, sharing phone numbers, emails, or external URLs may be restricted or sanitized. Accepted offers do not guarantee that a job will proceed to completion. A final job agreement exists only when customer and provider agree directly.
Fees and pricing
Registration and browsing are currently free during testing. Payments are not live yet, and paid contact unlock is not active. A planned model may charge 5% of the agreed amount with minimum €5 and maximum €49 (max(€5, min(5% × agreed amount, €49))). Final pricing may change before paid contact unlock goes live; costs will be shown before payment when activated.
Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on real service experiences. Misleading, fake, abusive, discriminatory, or manipulated reviews may be moderated or removed. A review score is an information signal and does not guarantee outcome quality.
Prohibited conduct
Prohibited conduct includes fraud, spam, harassment, fake accounts, fake reviews, scraping, and illegal job posting. Attempts to bypass contact unlock rules or share contact details before allowed are prohibited. Abuse of support channels is also prohibited.
Suspension and termination
Accounts may be limited, suspended, or terminated for policy violations, fraud indicators, safety risks, repeated complaints, or legal reasons. We may also limit access while an investigation is ongoing. Users can contact support to ask questions or appeal actions.
Intellectual property
The platform interface, brand assets, software, and related content are owned or licensed by SkilledContractors. User-generated content remains the user’s content. By posting content, users grant SkilledContractors a license to display and process that content for operating and improving the marketplace.
Liability
The platform is provided with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee provider performance, customer payment, offer availability, or work quality. KVK verification is a trust signal only. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is not allowed by law.
Indemnity
Users may be responsible for losses or claims arising from their breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, misuse of the platform, or inaccurate information they provide. This may include third-party claims connected to user activity.
Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the competent Dutch court, unless mandatory consumer law gives the consumer another court or protection.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms when features, pricing, or legal requirements change. Updated versions are published on this page. If you continue using the platform after updates, the updated terms apply; contact support with questions.
