Standard work often costs €8 to €20/m² in labour. The low end suits large, clear and smooth walls. A small or hard space may cost more per metre.

The measured area is the wall, not the floor. Large doors and windows may be removed from the count. Yet many edges and corners add work.

A standard roll is often €15 to €60. A fine print, mural or textile product is often €60 to €150 or more.

A common EU roll is 0.53 metres wide and 10 metres long. It gives about 5.3 m2 before cuts and waste. Sizes vary, so read the product label.

A pro may charge €35 to €50 for each roll in a standard job. This model is clear when all rolls have the same size.

The rate may not include paper, removal or repairs. A large design repeat can also increase costs.

A 10 to 15 m² feature wall is often €200 to €500. A bedroom with 25 to 35 m² of walls is often €500 to €1,000.

A mural has set panels or one large wallpaper design. The first panel must be straight. Each later panel follows it.

A bad start can spoil the full design. Confirm the final size and print direction first.

One small wall can have a high m² rate. Travel, setup and cleanup still take time.

Ask for the full total. Do not use a large-project rate without checking the minimum fee.

The Dutch Tax Administration says 9% VAT can apply when wallpaper is installed in a home over two years old. Needed prep and used items such as glue can also fall under 9%.

The same official guide puts the supply of wallpaper under 21% VAT. Fast-wrap film on items such as a kitchen also stays at 21%.
